9 CF 2.6.47. Lamp. Early bird's-head lamp. The early bird’s-head lamps, also called Vogelkopflampen, are typed Dressel Type 4, Loeschcke Type 1 and Leibundgut type 1. The body is deep and cup-shaped, and the shoulder is decorated with rings or twisted ropes. Disc-fragment with beginning of nozzle with four shoulder-rings in the shape of twisted rope, defining the piriform disc. L. 2.6, W. 1.4, T. 0.4. Fabric 1, 5YR 7/3 pink. Slip on the exterior, 2.5YR 5/8 red. Late Republican-Early Imperial period
