[Roman Villa, loc. S. Maria (Nemi, Italy), Trench EE: Marble, 41]
digital image
41 EE 2.39.1277. Drawing. Marble. Triangular-shaped fragment of an architectural member in greyish white marble. On the upper surface, part of a moulding has been preserved. The moulding consists of a band followed by a shallow cyma reversa. The upper surface is worn and weathered. The lower surface is less worn and has three incised parallel lines along the length of the slab; a fourth line intersects these lines along the width of the slab. The triangular shape of the slab and the incised guidelines suggest that the slab was reused. L. (longest side) 15.8, W. 12, T. 3-3.5
