[Roman Villa, loc. S. Maria (Nemi, Italy), Trench EE: Marble, 42]
digital image
42 EE 2.38.904. Drawing. Marble. Moulding in rosso antico; broken at both ends. The colour of the stone changes from red to white. This fact seems to have been deliberately used in the design of the moulding, as the convex part of the moulding is white whereas the rest of the moulding is red. The entire surface bears traces of mortar. L. 12.5, H. 2.0, T. 2.6
