E-49. CA 42.67. Trench A. Attic Black-Figured Pottery. Open shapes. Cups. Body sherds of cups. Body sherd of cup. H. 2.0 cm, W. 2.0 cm, Wth. 0.2-0.3 cm. Fine, reddish-yellow fabric (5YR 7/6). Internally, glossy, black glaze. Externally, decorated in black (as on interior), over-painted in. brown, on very pale brown ground (10YR 7/4). Motif: prob. right leg of horseman, with incised details. Hem of garment painted brown, as well as horse’s mane, where the paint has been allowed to run over the leg. Above horse’s mane, a vinet (?). Date: 530-500 BC
