B-21. CA 48.98. Drawing. Trench A. Jars. Globular jars. Wide, out-turning rim fragment with internal angle and convex lip. Broken at join with wall. H. 5.5 cm, W. 6.3 cm, Wth. 0.9 cm, Ø 21.0 cm. Hard-fired, rather depurated red fabric, 2.5YR 4/8, with reddish-brown core, 5YR 4/4. A few micaceous inclusions and some larger, red, Ø 0.2-0.3 cm. Interior slightly burnished, dark reddish-brown, 5YR 3/3; exterior burnished, very smooth, dark reddish-brown, 5YR 3/4. Parallels: possibly Red Impasto; cf. Carafa 1995, types 200, 202 & 216. Date: mid-7th – mid 6th century BC
