KK-12 CA 29.4 (CA 84-7, CA 84-40). Tiles. Ridge Tiles. Three joined frr. of a ridge tile with tall, upright crest. L. 19.8, H. with crest 13.3, W. at the base of the crest 2.2. Clay a little coarse, red-brown and very rich in minute black inclusions. Decoration. Slip applied rather sparsely on upper side of tile, red brown-orange. On crest traces of a tongue painted in cream-yellow. Along top edge of crest notches at intervals of 6 and 4.5 cm. Analysis. A fr. from a similar ridge tile is known from the Regia, attributed to phase III, cf. Downey 1995, 83-84, nos. 27-28, fig. 41 (recognised by Nancy Winter). The type of ridge tile is not found in the typologies suggested by Wikander 1993
