[The Temple of Castor and Pollux (Rome, Italy), Trench M: Post-antique pottery, Y-22]

Y-22 CM 1.7.1057. Renaissance Pottery, Archaic Maiolica, form 7-8. Jugs/jars. Body sherd of closed shape. No measurable diameter, wth. 0.5. Fabric 1: 10YR 8/3 (very pale brown). Brownish lead-glaze on interior, 10YR 5/8 (yellowish brown) (closest parallel), Glaze 2. The exterior has a pinkish white glaze, Glaze 3, decorated with scales outlined in dark brown and nuclei in cobalt blue. Date: 15th century
