G-1 (top). CA 8.944/CA 8.947, trench A. Carinated bowl with ring-base and flaring everted rim, type I. Two joining fragments of rim with part of angle between rim and body. H. 5.4 cm, w. 10.4 cm, wth. 0.6-0.7 cm, Ø 25 cm. Fine creamy fabric, 5YR 7/4 pink, with large amount of glitter, several small voids, many tiny white and a few red particles. The surfaces have been polished, 5YR 7/4 pink, and the interior decoration, 2.5YR 6/8 light red, consists of two lines along the interior edge of the rim, and one in the interior angle between rim and body. On the exterior the angle between rim and body is emphasized by two grooves. Parallels: Gjerstad 1953, fig. 48, n-o, fig. 56, c-d. Date: First half of 7th century BC. G-7 (bottom). CF15A.523, trench F US13 level III. Carinated bowl with ring-base and flaring everted rim, type II. Fragment of rim with small part of body. H. 7.4 cm, w. 7.4 cm, wth. 0.6 cm, Ø 23 cm. Very fine fabric, 5YR 6/4 light reddish brown, containing large amount of glitter, some small voids and some rather large white and red pozzolana inclusions. The surfaces have been polished, 7.5YR 7/4 pink. The rim has been pierced by a hole about two centimetres from the edge. The decoration, 10R 5/8 red, consists of two lines along the interior edge of the rim, and a band at the interior angle between the body and the rim. Parallels: Gjerstad 1953, fig. 56, c.
